Black Russian

Black Russian

The Black Russian is my favorite cocktail.
About a year ago, I went to a cocktail bar with my junior in my laboratory. At that time, and even now, I have litte idea about cocktails and he recommended Black Russian for me. I accepted his recommentation and enjoyed it. Since then, I always drinks Black Russian when I have a chance to drink a cocktail.
I think Black Russian is favorable for men who like alcohol beverages. It has a sweet taste and more alcohol compared with the other cocktails in my opinion.

If you are hesitating to choose what you drink in a cocktail bar, try Black Russian!

<Description from Wikipedia>

The Black Russian is a cocktail of vodka and coffee liqueur, sometimes topped up with Coca Cola. It is traditionally poured over crushed ice in an old-fashioned glass.

This combination of dark beverages first appeared in 1949, and is ascribed to the Belgian barman Gustave Tops, who created it at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels in honor of Perle Mesta, then US ambassador to Luxembourg. The cocktail owes its name to the dark period of the Cold War with the Soviet Union and is considered to be the ancestor of coffee cocktails.

The Black Russian is a good drink to order, instead of the White Russian, in unfamiliar bars or pubs, because of the often questionable quality of milk or cream used in the preparation of the latter.

A variation is the Tall Black Russian, prepared in the same manner as a Black Russian, except that it is served in a taller glass and topped up with Cola. A bottled Tall Black Russian was recently released commercially to be sold in pubs, clubs and stores. In the Republic of Ireland it is common to top this with a Guinness float.
